Purpose:

 Duties include developing, and maintaining applications and content for the corporate websites, to ensure the needs of the users of the computer system are met.

Supervision:

 This position reports to the IT Software Development Manager. This position will assist the IT Software Development Manager in the instruction of Junior Internet Applications Developers.

Job Duties:
  • Develop applications which support and streamline operations on the corporate collection of websites.  Websites include the public corporate site, distributor e-commerce websites, distributor replicating websites, and corporate intranet.
  • Prepare specifications and programs of a highly technical or complex structure.
  • Maintain or update the website by adding new content, illustrations or features.
  • Test programs and make amendments.
  • Support third party applications and relationships.
  • Manage and maintain content for the websites.
  • Provide website related customer service to distributors and employees.
  • Encode, test and debug programs as determined by the IT Software Development Manager.
  • Assist in preparing specifications and user requirements.
  • Assist in web design and functionality
  • Assist in research for user web page requirements.
  • Assist Junior Internet Application Developer with applications or technical problems.
Requirements:
  • HTML, Javascript, Style sheets and other basic web design skills
  • ASP.NET programming with C#
  • Intimate knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Functioning knowledge of Microsoft IIS and how to set up and maintain multiple websites.
  • Fluency in a foreign language a plus
  • Advanced Technical knowledge in applications programming; system design; and update, storage and retrieval methods.
  • Telerik Sitefinity 3.7, 4.x experience a plus
Additional Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Functional knowledge of network marketing
  • Able to provide after-hours support when required.
  • Self-starter as well as a team-player
Education:

Position requires a BS degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or similar field from 4-year accredited college or university or equivalent experience, with 2 to 4 years of progressively responsible work experience related to Internet application development.

Work Environment: This position requires performance in a typical office setting with appropriate climate controls. Tasks require a variety of physical activities, not generally involving muscular strain, such as: walking, standing, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing and sitting for extended periods during normal work hours.  Common eye, hand and finger dexterity is required.  Mental application requirements include: memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discriminating thinking and guided problem solving.
